PROGRAMME

• Analyse a current system for the purpose of extracting a list of entities and attributes
• The knowledge to generate the third normal form (3NF) for each of the entities in preparation for the creation of tables in a relational database
• An understanding of common database terms and use of SQL database statements
• The knowledge to design, construct and manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server 2000
• Create object-orientated programs in the C# programming language using the .NET development environment
• Develop and implement Windows-based applications using the Microsoft.NET development environment
• Access and manipulate data from a Microsoft SQL Server database using ad hoc queries and stored procedures
• Use the Microsoft.NET development environment to design and develop web applications which may be distributed over the Internet
• Create ASP.NET pages and HTML server control
• Add Web server controls, user controls and HTML code to ASP.NET pages
• Create and manage Microsoft Windows Services, Serviced Components, .NET Remoting Objects, and XML Web Services
• Access and manipulate data from a data store. Data stores include relational databases, XML documents and flat files. Methods include XML techniques and ADO.NET
• Understand that the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) development process, the solutions development life cycle which allows efficient, workable business solutions to be implemented
